    Abstract: 徐復觀的文物於1982年4月逝世後,由夫人徐王世高女士及其哲嗣,捐贈予東海大學圖書館典藏。其中有不少尚未出版與整理的摘節翻譯手稿,不僅能夠幫助研究者能夠更進一步了解徐復觀思想,同時也能掌握到他構思以及書寫時的習慣和材料。捐贈文物中摘譯卡西勒《人論》手稿的整理,填補以往在徐復觀《中國藝術精神》裡,閱讀到針對卡西勒《人論》的引用片段時所產生的問題。關於為什麼引用以及用什麼樣的視角與意圖去引用的問題,在整理摘譯卡西勒《人論》手稿的過程中,逐漸的得到釐清與解答。文章分成四章討論徐復觀與卡西勒之間,《中國藝術精神》與《人論》之間的關係,要點如下:其一,藉由《中國藝術精神》認識徐復觀是如何理解中國藝術以及藝術本身,並且從他的理解當中觀察是如何與卡西勒《人論》連結。其二,透過《中國藝術精神》中拿來作為莊子及其藝術精神延伸與解釋的卡西勒《人論》段落,檢視徐復觀哪些概念與卡西勒相契,哪些又是自己另外展開的想法與思路。其三,從莊子的「遊」之精神裡進一步釐清「遊」對於人自身的重要性,並且從「遊」之精神裡所透發出人之為人主體性以及能動性的區別,以及徐復觀對此的區別與認知和卡西勒思想的關聯性。其四,從徐復觀摘節翻譯卡西勒《人論》的手稿中,察覺出摘抄行為的意義與思想上實際的連結。徐復觀《中國藝術精神》奠定藝術精神這一主題的開展,摘譯卡西勒《人論》手稿的整理無疑有助於更進一步深入了解其思想的構築過程。
    Hsu Fuguan’s relics have been donated to Tunghai University library by his wife and children after he passed away in April 1982. There are many unpublished and unsorted translated manuscripts can help researchers to get to understand more about Hsu Fuguan, also in the same time to figure out the way he think and the habit he been uesd to. In Hsu Fuguan’s relics, there is a manuscript that has translated for Ernst Cassirer's Essay On Man. That manuscript could solve some questions while we read Hsu Fuguan’s The Essence of Chinese Art, especially related to those paragraphs are quoted from Essay On Man. The questions about why Hsu Fuguan quotes from Essay On Man, and what kind of perspectives he intended to be in those quotes, are getting clearer while sorting and identifying the manuscript. The Essay part to four chapters to discuss connection between Hsu Fuguan and Ernst Cassirer, The Essence of Chinese Art and Essay On Man, those main points are:First, through The Essence of Chinese Art to know how Hsu Fuguan understand Chinese art and the art itself, and further, to observe how he connect the idea to Ernst Cassirer's Essay On Man.Second, by the quotes from Essay On Man that been used into The Essence of Chinese Art to discussed about Zhuangzi, can find out what concepts are in agreement and what others are developed by his thoughts.Third, from Zhuangzi's spiritual of roaming to define it's important for human self, can distinguish the difference between subjectivity and agency, so that we can see how related are Hsu Fuguan and Ernst Cassirer.Fourth, from the translated manuscript of Ernst Cassirer's Essay On Man, we can observe Hsu Fuguan's action and its meaning.Hsu Fuguan's The Essence of Chinese Art established the topic of the spiritual of art, and the translated manuscript of Ernst Cassirer's Essay On Man is no doubt the fundal material to understand Hsu Fuguan's writing process.
